Chandigarh, Jun 13 (PTI) The Kangana Ranaut starrer “Bharat Bhagya Vidhata” was declared tax-free in Haryana on Saturday by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who made this announcement after attending a special screening of the film.
After viewing the movie, Saini emphasised that the true strength of the country lies not only in its government or armed forces but also in the character, courage, and commitment to service exhibited by ordinary citizens.
He praised the film, which is set against the backdrop of the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks, describing it as a powerful narrative of courage, compassion, duty, and humanity that resonates with every Indian.
During the screening, Saini was accompanied by his wife, Suman Saini, some of his ministers, and Kangana Ranaut. He noted that during moments of terror and fear, numerous brave individuals risked their lives to protect others.
The film is set inside Cama Hospital in Mumbai on the night of the 26/11 attacks and chronicles how nurses, ward boys, cleaners, lift operators, security staff, and administrative workers stood firm while chaos unfolded outside.
Saini pointed out that society often celebrates public heroes, but the true strength of the nation lies in the doctors, nurses, police personnel, security forces, and social workers who diligently fulfil their duties without seeking recognition. He stated that these individuals are the first to step forward in defence of humanity during crises.
The chief minister praised the film’s portrayal of women’s strength, stating that Indian women are not only the backbone of families but also a formidable force in society, capable of transforming compassion into action during crises.
He asserted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India does not compromise on its security and sovereignty. “Today, India is fighting a decisive battle against terrorism, and now we strike back at terrorists in their own dens. Operation Sindoor is the latest and most vivid example of this resolve,” he said.
Saini honoured several individuals associated with public service during the special screening. Among those present were Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goel and Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana, among others. PTI SUN MPL MPL
